Dublin Animation Film Festival has grown to become a regular event in the animation calendar and we are now planning for the future years.
Dublin Animation Film Festival has always been run by volunteers and its mantra has been ‘Film Festivals Should Be Fun and for Everyone.’ since its inception in 2011.
We are now expanding our partnerships and programme offerings and with this in mind, we will be working on our practices and policies which will be finalised in 2026.
We are committed to holding events that are safe, inclusive, friendly and respectful and support the Irish Animation Industry.
DAFF is a small festival but we want to make one thing clear:
We do not wish to receive entries that are made with generative AI tools. We will be introducing in 2026, further measures to tackle this issue. Because, at the end of the day, we want to support Irish animators, film-makers and their international colleagues and play our part in allowing their creativity to flourish.
