CHICAGO IRISH FILM FESTIVAL

Dublin Animation Film Festival is delighted to be collaborating with The Chicago Irish Film Festival 2022!

The Chicago Irish Film Festival is dedicated to presenting the works of Irish filmmakers in Chicago. Since 1999 the festival has screened over 1,500 features, documentaries, and short films by many of Ireland’s most talented and award-winning filmmakers.

Each year the Festival strives to include a broad representation of current Irish cinema that highlights the extraordinary diversity and creativity that is the mark of Irish film making wherever in the world it may occur.

We look forward to working with the Chicago Irish Film Festival and introducing some Irish animation classics and the next wave of talented Irish animators to new audiences!

BOULDER MEDIA

Boulder Media is an Irish animation company based in Dublin. The company was established in 2000 and since then we have gone on to become one of Ireland’s largest animation studios, attracting high profile projects from across the globe and working with leading broadcasters such as Cartoon Network and the BBC. Some of the shows produced by Boulder Media are Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, Hasbro’s Littlest Pet Shop and Danger Mouse for the BBC. While Boulder Media is primarily known for its 2D Animated TV Shows our work also includes full 3D production, too. In late 2016 Boulder Media was acquired by Hasbro and we currently work from two Studios, the first is our Headquarters in Sandymount, Dublin 4 which is our TV Studio, the second in Hawkins Street, Dublin 2 which is our Feature Film Studio.

LUMINOSITY

Luminosity has been a sponsor and supporter of Dublin Animation Film Festival since 2014, when Sharon Kavanagh Banks, the CEO of Luminosity became a volunteer! Luminosity has sponsored children’s animation and comic book workshops in various locations in Dublin and is a particular fan of the DAFF Best Soundtrack category. So far ‘Unhinged’ directed by Tom Caulfield of Studio Okinawa is one of the Luminosity Favourites – but was won over by ‘The Red Turtle’ directed by Michael Dudok De Wit.
